Whip up and sample a new seasonal craft cocktail with us each week with so you're super informed when choosing your signature drink. 'Cause someone's gotta do it. 

Watermelon Tequila Cocktail

Via Food & Wine

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup granulated sugar

8 cups diced seedless watermelon

1/4 cup fresh lime juice

1 3/4 cups blueberries

3/4 cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves, plus 8 sprigs for garnish

1 1/4 cups silver tequila

Dissolve sugar into water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Puree watermelon in a blender until smooth, then strain through a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl, pressing gently with a rubber spatula to extract the juice. In a large pitcher, combine the simple syrup, lime juice, blueberries, and mint leaves and gently muddle with a wooden spoon. Add the watermelon juice and tequila, then refrigerate until chilled. Pour over ice and garnish with mint.

Our thoughts: This drinks takes the ol' tequila-soaked watermelon from backyard summer parties and classes it up enough for a formal affair. It would make a refreshing addition to an outdoor cocktail hour or tented reception.
