Bride and groom on the beach at their Yacht Club of Sea Isle Wedding

Sara + Adam — Classic Shore Wedding

WOW. Where do we begin with this Sea Isle wedding? I feel like all small talk is about the weather, but this wedding is REALLY about the weather - and Sara + Adam's ridiculous fortune. After a week of gloomy skies and terrible forecasts, we arrived at a beautiful Saturday morning in Sea Isle. Sara got ready at her parents' house in Sea Isle with her girls, and Adam got ready at his parents' house in Ocean City. We had lots of time to photograph all the gorgeous details from their wedding, including a jaw-dropping letterpress invitation suite, some very sparkly jewelry, spectacular Kate Spade shoes, and of course the amazing florals from A Garden Party. After Sara got into her dress, we headed out to the beach at the end of the street for the first look. With some tears from both Sara and Adam, I think it's safe to say it was a pretty touching reveal. We took photos by the dunes and down by the shoreline, then headed up towards the boardwalk to meet up with the rest of the bridal party and family. Sara + Adam's Yacht Club of Sea Isle wedding ceremony was definitely a unique one and an absolute joy to witness. The seating in front of the dock was small and intimate, and all their family and friends then gathered on the balconies above and around them in the Yacht Club to watch. And this is where the weather comes into play big time: just as Sara and Adam finished saying their vows and went in for their first kiss, the overcast day cleared, the clouds parted, and the sun blased through shining down on them. You can't script this, folks. And then it stormed. We took a few photos by the docks after the ceremony, there was a stupendous cocktail hour with really big shrimp and some killer lamb chops (and a steel drum - Little Mermaid music included!), the bridal party made their entrances, we had toasts and the first dance, and then the winds howed, chairs on the deck blew across the Yacht Club, and the rain came in sideways. It was nuts. Kinda terrifying, to be honest. But, as fate would have it, as everyone finished up dinner, the sun came out again. And this time it wasn't alone. I stepped outside to grab a photo of the clouds and sky when I noticed a rainbow forming over the bay. I called to Sara who came out and (after a few more tears), a crowd of 100+ people grew on the deck to witness the most vibrant double rainbow I've seen in my entire life. AND THEN the sun set. So we hopped down to the docks (which were now a bit flooded), and got some pretty amazing photos - see for yourself! Sara + Adam's wedding was the result of months and months of planning and it all coming together perfectly. Everything went off without a hitch, and the wedding was a dream come true. I couldn't be happier for these two, and they certainly earned an amazing honeymoon in Costa Rica. If that double rainbow was any indication, they have a bright, bright future ahead of them!
