Kelly & Dan | Intimate Backyard Wedding

Kelly and Dan had the most beautiful summer backyard wedding. Every detail of their day was whimsical and classy. Even a little rain couldn’t stop us from taking the most magical wedding photos.

I had the privilege of meeting Kelly and Dan last summer for their engagement photos. From the moment we met, I knew there was something extra special about this couple.

Kelly and Dan exchanged vows under an apple tree on the most beautiful backyard property. With his dad, Dan built a stunning white birch chuppah, decorated with the most beautiful flower arrangement by Colleen Shannon. The summer rain held off until the couple said their I do’s but decided to stick around for the remainder of the day and allowed us to capture the most romantic, magical photos. (Ahh I’m so in love!)

Kelly decided to have not just a one day wedding, but a two day celebration! (what a wonderful idea!) For the first day, the couple invited the most important people in their lives to celebrate in an intimate way. The second part was a much larger celebration with many amazing friends and people in their lives who have helped them over the years. The goal was to have a laid back and good time with their guests and to just have FUN. Kelly hugged all the people who have helped them get here, they danced, drank, smiled and laughed, and most importantly hung out as HUSBAND and WIFE!

The night ended with some sparkler fun! Everyone had a blast and I’m so glad I was there to capture it all. Now Kelly and Dan have the best memories to display at their desks and share with their kids in the future. Words can’t describe how happy I am for this sweet, perfect couple.
